Nice job on the tuning John

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by all go teg &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so just a quick question, id like to be making about 250 whp, i just curious as to how i could do that with a few modifications, most people are going to say crank up the boost. but id like to stick with what i have. so with that in mind what are some of my options, i was thinking maybe a new intake mani and have it ported to match a p&p on the head. or go ahead and just bye a vtec head. any one got any ideas?

There is nothing wrong with turning the boost up to reach your desired power level. 250whp is cake for a ls bottom end

I do agree. If we could of turned the boost up to 10 psi, you would've seen 250 hp.

But HP can be found in things like exhaust, although you are pretty much stuck with what you have when you keep a/c and power steering. The easiest way to make the power is turning the boost up. Your setup is already solid.

I like electronic if you are going to be running a lot of boost, but a turbo xs manual boost controller works pretty good as well.

I have had some problems with manual controllers that loose boost up top, I have never had that problem with an electronic.

i would, i bought this car from my uncle and he had ran the car over those parking blocks, and there are a few big scrapes on the bumper where you can see the black abs plastic. i would love to keep it off but i cant drive around and let the car look bad, that would just be a crime

i was just looking into it a little, what do you think about the Super AVC-R? i really like the fact that you can control the boost in each gear, that will help a lot for traction, now i just need to find someone that is selling one for a good price

oh ****, i turbo'd that car whats goin on stephen? Like i said, i think ur injecors are sitting on my table. As far as boost controllers go, i dont think u need to go as far as an avcr. Just get a simple greddy profec type S or something of the like that is simple and effective. With one of these you can have a low boost setting and a high boost setting that you switch to and from with a push of a button. From what i remember, you didnt have any trouble hooking up in first and second gear

throw up some install pics if u have any good ones

stock ls heads and intakes are pretty damn cheap. I'd say pick up a spare head/intake and hog them out. Then when you get some more money have the head cut for larger valves. Then when you get some more money, get some largers cams and cam gears.

Then toss all that on the car and have some fun.

Oh and that looks like the cast inline pro manifold?? hog that out as well.

For more power get an aftermarket intake manifold....those cheap OBX ones will do the trick nicely....and get some cams. I bet you'll see at least 25 whp right there if not more.

get a EBC...once you get them you'll NEVER go back to a MBC. never. I have the Profec B II and I like..but I'm going to switch to the AVC-R to get gear dependant boost control

The valve job was done prior to the dyno. The engine was never n/a in my car I swapped it in and threw on the turbo.
