Default i/c piping size

i have asked numerous people about what size piping i should go with on my ek.i am running an ls turbo on 8 psi right with around 260whp with 2.5'' piping. I was told to replace my i/c piping with 3'' piping before i go back for my high boost which should be around 400whp. is this true or is 2.5 large enough? i guess what i am confused about is whether or not larger i/c piping and i/c creates lag and if 2.5 piping will starve my engine. any advice would be appreciated.

U pick piping and ic size by the hp u r wanting to make. I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure 2.5" is good to a max of 500hp. Piping to large will create lag but not a huge amount.
