I am soooo tempted!!
Last night here in Miami, we got a nice blast of cooold air (high 30's). So while I'm out last night hanging with a few associates at a hangout, I start thinking of how the tempature relates to boost. To put it simply, I was so incredibly tempted to go from 10psi (.7 bar) to a full manly 1 bar
I was running the same guy I've run like 10 times out there (5G CX/VX hatch, JDM SiR II B16A, bolt-ons, stock VX wheels) and ever time we'd run, it was even till the very top of 3rd before I'd finally start pulling, so the demons started talking to me.."turn it up Dave, the AVC-R is calling for you.. do it Dave, you know you want to!!" I held back, but I don't if I can resist tonight. I'm pretty sure my motor will hold it fine, but I'm curious, how do you guys resist such sinful temptation's??
I think I need treatment

I can't afford to F anything up right now.
I resist by a similar means... realizing that if it breaks, I'm pretty much screwed...
priorities are in a changing mode... and since my car is pretty fast now... the new lady in my life needs some attention... and the car she has already expressed concern over... "you like your car too much".... i tried explaining to her, but she doesn't understand...
i am gonna try 12-14psi soon, just to see how she runs... now that i have upgraded almost the entire fuel system and ignition... but will prolly leave it at 10..

yes, so if you understand it correctly, you'll know there is more oxygen per pound of boost. Which means you will need more fuel also. If you don't have the fuel to compensate, I wouldn't risk it.
I don't resist... I just keep an eye on my gauges... I built it to tear it up racing anyway.. it's not my daily driver... **** IT!
18 PSI that Beyotch!
(Yes, I know... I'm not helping...)

Oh I do have the fuel, I mean 440cc injectors on a 1.6 SOHC go a loooong ways.. it's just the whole mental factor of the infamous "barrier" that is 1 bar
Besides, I've actually hit 1.03 bar already hehe

14.7psi is an atmospheric pressure..
ibar = 14.3 psi
ibar = 14.3 psi
Oh no not the bar/psi ratio thing again, 1bar=14.5psi. Anyway, if you're tempted on boost...race gas helps. I believe 3 octane points higher will safely account for an additional 2 pounds of boost.
