Turbomafia?
So tell me, I've seen you all talk about it. . . . what does it take to be part of the Mafia or is there a Mafia?
Just wondering. . . .

Re: Turbomafia? (WykidEG6)
Well basically...
Turbocharged Integra/Honda capable of low 13's, timeslip proof (acceptions made on occasion), pictures sent to DarthBoost aka. MarkC, approval of other members as far as I know....
short answer: A bunch of Turbo nuts that would be willing to look out for each other reguardless of distance or differences.... with the friendship based on the additional factor of having a turbo. Someone you can call in the middle of the night (thanks again mark) to help you figure out you have the fuel pump wired backwards and to walk you through a compression test (thanks dustin) and to find you parts when you need them (thanks art)...
the list goes on...

Re: Turbomafia? (PROFILE GSR)
Rule #1 is to never ask.. I think Gsrwboost summed it up very good. We are just a group of friends that is there to help each other out no matter what. Either it be you drive 2.5 hours because your buddy is having girl problems, or just simply car questions, answers, or suggestions. We are enthusiasts that love cars, especialy those with turbos.
We are not a car club, because those are gay, but a close bond of friends. TurboMafia started as a comment someone said towards another member a long time ago to an old memeber called "BoostJunkie"
If you've been here for about 3 years you might recognize some of the old TurboMafia like: Vtec4gs, BoostJunkie, Havok, Phantom, and others that we have encounted in the past.
But in reality its just a Title, nothing more..

Re: Turbomafia? (MarkC)
yep, thanks to Art and Chris who helped me with the turbo install...
Art helped me out as soon as he got off from graveyard shift until 4 in the evening and he went back to workk at 9pm that same day... and answer my stupid dumb install Q's like a thousand times....
He took me to work today.........since my car is bogging rich and loud as hell......
Chris, who let me do the install at his place, sleep on his recliner (my back and neck still hurt) for two straight days....
you can never ask for any friends better than this....

Re: Turbomafia? (GSRwBOOST)
Kinda OT, but GSRwBOOST, art was mentioning that you ran your fuel pump differently witha stainless fuel hose, can you possibly email the pictures if you have it, I just want to get some ideas for my fuel pump, it's kinda ghetto now, I mounted on the charge pipe....since the banjo is facinf the driver side, any attempt to install the fuel pump on the passenger side would kinks the line..
thanks

Re: Turbomafia? (flamenco)
The turbomafia soldiers have more than just the fundamentals of how turbo's work down pat. And are always willing to lend a hand to get another one swayed to the dark side.
(and most of em have experienced what running an open downpipe at 1am around the neighborhood is like...hehe)
