She's running. Initial impressions...... b16a, sc61, lovefab sst, .5 bar
Alright guys, finally got the charge pipes fitting correctly, new basemap courtesy of T4Sol (excellent map), and some more fab work from Hulkhb, the car is on the road.
Now i wasn't too worried about spool times, but it was always a thought in the back of my head. Mind you right now i'm running a 2 foot side exit, soon to be a full 3" catback, but as of now, boost is building strong at 3500 and full boost comes at or before 5000. When it comes, the power is insane. At first i thought there was creep or something because of how strong the setup is, but watched closely through 2nd and 3rd with no creep (TiAL 38mm).
Now this is totally running on a blind basemap and no tuning yet, but inital impressions are phenominal... couldn't have asked for a stronger setup. Big thanks to Arturbo, Tinker219, Hulkhb, Ben@Importparts, T4Sol, ImportHatch, Odiedogcx, Unsung Boxer, and probably quite a few people I forgot.
I'll keep updating the thread as pics and more impressions come along. So for those of you who think the SC61 (.60/.63 T04E 76 Trim) is way too big for the b16a, think again.
Setup:
2000 Si
Type R Cams
Precision SC61
Lovefab SST
TiAL 38mm WG
TiAL 50mm BOV
RC 550cc Sat. Inj.
Precision 31.5x8x3.5 IC
Anything I forget?

about the p28/uber data.... can u use a romulator for this ? or...is there a way to be able to "hook the ecu" into a labtop somehow, see the maps, tune on the fly ?? etc ??? im wonderin about the uberdata..i dont know much about it..exept that its cheap and effective
also.. what about the obdII emisions BS. gotta hoook up to the service port ? will that still work on your car ?

Good to hear no pics? The spool time sound pretty good for such a large turbo..

Good to see you are finished and enjoying it.
I know a lot of people wonder about the SC61 and I have seen nothing but good things about it but I do think it is kinda a lot of hype because there are more efficient setups that have more linear powerbands. More power to you though, from what I have heard the SC61 pulls like no other once in full boost.

last i heard, i think they are working on romulator support, but it isnt here yet. turboedit (OBD0 version of uberdata basically) is just about done with implementing romulator support. and i know that both of the writers (jason and blake) share info so it may be around the corner....

Hey, do you mind sharing your basemap with the rest of the uberdata community? Nice to know someone else is running an SC61 w/uberdata. I love mine.
When do you see full boost? I'm really in need of a better manifold and 3" dp/exhaust.
Also, register for the uberdata board. I need help over there, everyone bashes my SC61.
