Hypothetical question on fuel lines...
if I leave all the fuel feed and return stock as it is (the metal lines) and do the feed lines to the filter then rail then FPR then back to stock fuel return line with a -8AN lines....how much will the presure will be affected ?
reason I asked is because I am planningon doing all the lines to -8 feed and -6 return in the future as my car will progress, but not now, but for the sake of convenience, I was planning on clamping down the fuel feed before the OEM filter to a -8AN lines then Paxton filter, fuel rail (720cc injectors) then the paxton FPR then I might have to use a -4 or -6 return lines from the FPR back to stock return line since the stock lines are so small, and I am gonna use a clamp to secure it...
just getting by right now with walbro GSS 422
in the future, I'll upgrade everything to -8 and -6 return...as well as bigger external fuel pump with custom fuel pick up...
Will this work ?

Stan,
I wouldn't be surprised if your pressure dropped quite a bit. -8 is a pretty big line enough to make a difference. Sure it'd help but I think you should look into a bigger pump. Perhaps a Supra TT intank or external in-line with a pickup?

Not unless he replaces his fuel filter with an aftermarket one that features -8 ins/outs.

But the fuel filter is no where near the fuel tank cover.
Jon - where did you get everything when you ran your new fuel lines? I've found most of it online but I can't find that banjo fitting for the fuel tank cover. Or is there any way to avoid that banjo fitting and run the line directly to the pump?

What fitting is he going to run off the filter? If he gets a -8 fitting it will be fine. If he clamps a -8 line to the bango bolt, he will be restricted.
Brian - I did not use a bango off the pump, I used an Earls carb fitting, it's like -6 12mm x 1.25 90 degree deal ....I'll get the part number.

Why do it half assed now?? Do it right the first time. Sorry, but if money is an issue, then I would just wait and save. Why do it all over again, do it once and be done with it.
By the way, if you need any help doing this you can ask me. I did it all, but using the intank pump. I would like to do a sump and inline later if I ever plan on making more than 400 hp.

if money wasn't the issue, I wouldn't made this topic to begin with...
eventually I am planning to do the whole lines -8 and -6 with external fuel pump and pick up...
but, I thought I can get a head start by doing the front side of the car first, then in the future, just replace the hard lines and the fuel tank area...
if I was gonna stick with this setup, I'd have gone with a -6 all around and not worry about fuel pressure....but I am planning on the -8 and -6 return...
well, if I just make the walbro work a lil extra hard to compensate for the pressure loss in the -8 lines, would that work... ? therefore I can still keep normal base fuel pressure

Re: Hypothetical question on fuel lines... (Flamenco-NA)
Well, I can see where your coming from money wise.
After I did my fuel lines---6an feed and return to tank---i was using the stock fuel pump along with 550 injectors. The stock pump couldnt flow enough gpm through the larger lines so I leaned out under boost--actually lost fuel pressure.
If you plan to do this, I would keep an eye on your fuel pressures.

Re: Hypothetical question on fuel lines... (Flamenco-NA)
At that point I was running hondata. Never went with the FMU since I did it right the first time.
I bought the walbro hp pump about a month after turbo. Too bad I didnt realize I already hurt the pistons by leaning out. Either by a wrong hondata basemap, or from the factory fuel pump---i havent figured out which one.

Re: Hypothetical question on fuel lines... (Flamenco-NA)
but that means more money on adaptors and hose end if you don't do it at once. My -8 runs from the tank all the way to the -8 fuel filter. You can use the banjo bolt now but it's a waste of 20-30 bucks if you don't need it later. I say do it or don't do at all. BTW, it's a pain in the *** to make it perfect.
