hybirding a turbo???

Default hybirding a turbo???

turbo took a ****... if i bought a garrett t3 42/48 50 trim turbo and put the t3/t4 57 trim compressor wheel and housing on there would it work??? and what would my out come be?? any body do this before? need help.

The compressor housing would have to be specifically machined in order for the new compressor wheel to fit into the housing, and make sure that you have the matching backplate to that compressor wheel, and fit it to the cartridge. When disassembling, make sure that there is no "blueing" or damage to the exhaust wheel/shaft combination. Then reassemble with a rebuild kit, and have it balanced. Really, by the time you do all of this, you'll almost have paid more in parts and materials to make sure it fits than to get a new unit, entirely, or at the leaset the cartridge.

i have the bigger compressor wheel and the compressor housing. all i want to do is put it on the smaller t3 turbo
