Default HT Silicone Coating

Anyone use DEI HT Silicone Coating For their manifolds

I am thinking of using this can for heat protection.
Does it work without using the heat wrap?

It will not be effective in reduing underhood temps without the wrap. The wrap itself is the insulator and the silicone spray helps the wrap repel moisture to keep you header from rusting. My opinion is it's not needed if you already have the wrap.

if you want a budget coating that you can do yourself and will hold up to that heat pretty decently (eventually it will come off but it takes a little while)... check out some VHT high temp 2000 degree paint.
