HP limits of walbro 255lph?
What would be the biggest injector/maximum HP that the walbro 255lph pump can support?
(and I did a search BTW)
Thanks

Re: HP limits of walbro 255lph? (Bryson)
Technically, you can make about 600 hp at .6 BSFC on the 255lph Walbro (which is about what you'd expect to run on a highly boosted turbo 4 cylinder). You'd need around 1300cc injectors though, which wouldn't work very well for anything but high RPM and high boost running (read: hard to make idle). What you'd need to do is run 8 injectors and get the size down to about 550-650cc and preferrably have a standalone that activates the secondary set of injectors only when needed. This setup would provide mixture quality near stock and still allow flow rates up to ~600hp. Oh, and all this was calculated with 35-40 psi of fuel pressure, if you jacked the fuel pressure up over 80 you'd drop the maximum amount of power to 400hp or lower (depending upon which Walbro you use, the 317 or the 342), but also lower your necessary injector size. Does that answer your question?
