I'm curious what fuel pumps everyone is using for 550-700 WHP setups? From searching it seems that Aeromotive A1000 & Bosch 044 seem to be popular. The 255 walbro in-tank pretty much peaks out at about 525-575 whp (Which is what i have now).

I am looking move into the 600 whp ballpark. I would idealy like to reach 700 whp for a run or two , but for the most part I want to daily my car at 400 whp and higher boost around 600ish. I am running 750cc injectors which I will have to upgrade to 1000cc. I will probably stick with RC's injectors, but it would be interesting to see what injectors & size you guys are using along side your fuel pumps.

Again any suggestions/pros & cons/comments/personal experiences with anything you post will be helpful. And if you know any cheap places to buy your recommendation that would be a major plus.

this has been covered alot.

there are a few pumps and people will tell you lots.

someone told me to buy the weldon db2015a that person had one on his car. asi put it on my car, his s**t the bed, that dude was kinda upset about it, but the pump is rated for 1000crank, he was making 860whp. so it was at its limit.

i had an issue with mine but it is my fault for not venting the tank properly.

i like the weldon, it is a little pricey, but ihave their main tech's cell number and he has answered every question i have had, the pumps are rebuildable, i fixed mine myself, they overnited the parts to me at not too bad of a cost.

plus all my friends that have fast mustangs, like 10.0's and quicker are running the 2025 he hee.

but i am only 1 person. he hee.

For a daily driven car I would go with the Bosch 044 (quieter and more realiable). The bosch 044 pump and 1000cc will max around 660whp.

Those were my numbers when i was up to about 575 whp , enough to make one decent run.

Well if you want to make 700whp then you need the fuel for 700hp. A single bosch should be good for 600 but anything over that I'd rather run two.

One neat thing about the bosch's is that you *could* run them without sumping the tank as they are not gravity fed so you can use them as pullers.

Aeromotive Eliminator pump here for a few years now, was daily driven for about a year also on it.


Nothing bud good luck on it, all answers above are great. Everyone is gonna suggest the one they chose and the one they use as long as it works.

why not just use 2 walbro 255 intank... that set up houl be goo to about 800 whp reliably with 880 cc injectors a about 46-50 psi base pressure... you can have one feed the front of a rail one to the back of the rail an the return in the middle...

Interesting but im leaning toward one fuel pump that will do it all. I'm guessing my 750cc injectors will only take me to about 600ish? I may just settle with 600 whp at high boost and daily it at 400 whp. People say the 255 is good for a little over 600.

I plan on taking it to mase tuning and see what he can do.

800whp with 880cc injectors sounds a bit sketchy to me... thats not enough injector for that hp level.

750cc injectors are not enough for your goals, your going to need to step up the injector size for 600whp.

On the topic of the OP's question... people seem to be having good sucess with the bosch 044 pumps, but any of those listed above have proven themselves so you really cannot go wrong with any of them.

Yeb, 1000cc injectors already on the way. I plan on getting a Bosch 044.

After thinking about it and reading on the 255 fuel pump, it seems they are good for low to almost mid 600 whp setups. So if I can get away by just uprading my injectors and get a good 600 whp tune, then i'll save some money and go that route.
