How was your first experience with BOOST?

I got hooked on the boost drug back in 01. we boosted my brothers sohc vtec w/ a junkyard turbo and took it for a spin on the hwy w/o any fuel management piggybacks.. gota remember, there was little or no EMS's out at the time that was affordable for us.. We didn't even use an FMU.
when I got on the throttle, it was like night and day and I was hooked, I probably didn't even hit 5 psi and it was that good.. Since that experience, I've never looked back..
Now a days i'm driving probably a 400 hp Bseries setup and rarely even get on the throttle anymore.. its like, I know i have the power, but why flaunt it. Like Peter Parker's Uncle said, "With great power, comes great responsility."

just got my gsr civic tuned by tony1 300whp. all i can say is WOW. never seen 1st and 2nd hit the rev limiter in 2 secfonds. 100 comes in a matter of seconds. I redline at 8300 but shift at around 7K because it feels already too crazy
I had no fuel managment and I coudl hear detonating. My clutch was slipping. My headgasket blew 1 day later. My diff exploded a week later. My connecting rods went a month or so later (after I got fuel managment)
I blew the turbo seals, wrecked a couple clutches, broken an engine mount, got several tickets which i suffer form to this day, got my license suspended and will liekly get it taken away again, spent countless hours rebuilding dumping more and more money into it. Went through oil, had oil leaks, attracted attention, lost all the money i invested into it, had a few poeple want to steal my car, lost alot of my social life.
What am I doing now, building a 400whp hatch.
Yes, boost is addicting, and now I dont reccomend getting inot it unless you treat life as a game.

i road in a boosted rx7 years ago and said screw it, im building something wild.
3 years later i had a built and boosted gsr motor in a sol. First time in it was crazy. Lowest boost i could get was 15psi and on a t3 60-1 and a 84 mm gsr, **** was just amazing, especially for the first time driving a boosted car. Def a little scary at first, torque steer was crazy, but i was hooked. Couldnt stop smiling for days
Then it just started feeling regular, cranked it up to 20 psi, and the smile came right back

First time i rode in a boosted car............... A Lotus Espirit, Twin Turob V8!! Holy Shiat..... instant hardon. that thing was unbalivable, i couldnt stop laughing. Then bout a year later my dad let me take his WRX to the store, without him in the car.....
It was amazing/ I revved it to 5k dumped the clutch and that thing just shot off. I remeber it wasnt that graet up untill 4k, but when the boost kicked it viloently kicked me in my seat. I can wait to boost my y8... and whoop his *** in a race.

I had ridden in several boosted cars (stock and modded) and street tuned a civic with a T3/T04E 57trim on 6psi. None of them were all that fast.
The first really fast car I rode and drove was a 335whp 240SX. The car ran 12's and trapped 116mph to 119mph on a regular basis running 19 to 20psi of boost. After that, it's just an assault of the senses....everything happens pretty quickly, while the open dump is ripping out a bunch of noise, and the sensation of anxiety thinking that something bad could happen at any moment. The scariest part was that you constantly had to watch for the back end to come out when it hit full boost and countersteer all the time to keep the car going straight down the road. It never helped that you had to drive it like a switch. It was either on or off.
Later on, after letting Dave Blundell tune the car and hooking up the boost controller (correctly), the little Civic hatch with the T04E, 57trim also became a 12sec/118mph car. It pulled hard and felt, sounded very similar; very similar to the 240, just without the squirmy rear-end. It was also a 300whp+ car, just in a lighter body than the 240.
In my experience, 300whp to 350whp is plenty for daily drivers. It's just enough to make things interesting, but enough to scare you a little.

Hooked on it from day one when it was tuned.. Running weak *** fmu and a missing link.. Pull hella hard on 7 psi.. Scared the **** out of my girlf.. Now its running with hodata s200 and a ramhorn.. on 10 psi daily.. Scared the **** out of me sometimes.. I got to admit, its addictin the first couple of weeks.. u just wanna expletive with every honda that had an exhaust on.. but afterward u just need chill.. Take it to the track more fun.. running against v8 ..

yeah ill agree with this 100%. im making about 325whp now and its already enough that i really have to pick my roads and places to hit full boost and bang some gears, its hard to keep the car going straight at some points

this sums it up for me
doing the install
drive
check everything
realize there are some issues
drive again
Still working on my setup to get some little things straight. Once you drive it you will not go back.

My boosted b18 crx was a blast to drive. It pulled nicely on the first day, I was grinning being on top of 3rd gear and 9lbs, everything was fine and dandy when the hood popped, windshield smashed and the roof of the car sorta caved in and hit my head a bit. "Boost is a hella addicting drug"
i know this goes in the video section but i just had to post it here.sorry if its a repost.http://youtube.com/watch?v=gupeVbyTot4

loved my first experience with boost.... car barly made 290whp with some issues but it was still fast as ****, car weighed 2210lbs and beat low 12 hi 11 cars all day on the street on 8 pounds of boost, didnt even have time to work all the bugs out and go back to the dyno on higher boost, spun rod bearing ended my motor, now im deciding to rebuild the stock bottom end or just build it with forged pistons and rods, dont have much money to spend but im not the type of person to pull something apart and just rebuild it...
My first experience with boost was like my first experience with sex. It was much better than I thought it would be and I was addicted after 1 hit.
LOL
my first boosted motor was back in 97 I had a SOHC with a greddy kit. I kept cranking the boost up till the motor blew with 17psi of boost... I got another SOHC and built it, then cranked the boost up but that turbo maxed out at around 18psi so i switched to the bigger greddy turbo that comes with the integra kit... with that turbo i got up to 22psi on the built SOHC before it blew... Then i went with a B20 with T04E... and the list goes on untill today.......
