a few years ago i had a z6 with a t3 on it. only had 6-7psi going, but it was fun as hell, i was hooked.

the first time i boosted it and shifted into 4th, the car instantly picked back up, whereas it used to be dead in the water. i remember the feeling to this day, that was like 3 years ago, and im running mid 12s now, that still felt good haha

i remember that drive home from the shop after i got my car tuned...gt28r on a b18c1, in a 4dr gsr. when i got on the hwy for the first time...

stepping on the gas, not even flooring it, at about 70 in 4th and feeling the car tq steer to the right...closing the bus lengths between me and the car that was way in front of me...and being at 100mph...all at what seemed was a blink of an eye...

i remember thinking "damb i dont need a faster car than this". and i was only running 10lbs then. took me about a month to get used to the power...and now i'm already working on a bigger setup

boost IS a drug...

I was 16, turboed my CRX with a ghetto DRAG kit, best day of my life and Ive never been the same since. Nothing else matters except boost, seriously it is the reason I would go to work. Since then, I will not own a car unless it is boosted, and if isnt boosted, it will be boosted ASAP by me. Had my 227hp CRX first(16-17 years old), then a 531hp boosted EK(18 years old), sold it and got a STi(19 years old). Im going through withdrawls right now, sold my STi, but a new project is in the works. The STi couldnt compare to a boosted Honda, so I think its obvious what I am gonna do next

This is my first setup for boost.....and I love it! We are only boosting on the spring, and havent even turned on the boost controller yet......

Love the speed, love the TORQUE, and love the sound of the whine...not to mention vtec + boost

I dont think Ill ever setup an allmotor build

considering it was a low 11 sec t type i was working on, back in '96 i got hooked then, and was a matter of time before i boosted the hatch, that was 5 years ago, and wont ever look back.

My first experience: I was in my own car, Casey @ Modacar tuned it for me, he took it for a test drive with me in shotgun. I remember it was awesome, the fastest car I had been in yet. He gets about halfway through 3rd gear on 9-10 pounds of boost and then a 4 way stop was coming up. He starts braking, then braking frantically, and yelling "holy **** dude your car has no brakes!" as the pedal went to the floor from fading. My car was just a mostly stock Ls before it was boosted so I just had some warped rotors and Napa ceramic pads, it never occured to me how important they are when you more than double the power your car makes in a couple hours. It was a very happpy happy day. I proceeded to overheat my brakes 6 times that weekend. Yeeeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's fu<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by blackdude &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well what kind of power were youguys putting down on your first setup because this is going to be my first setup and stan is telling me that it will atleast be 350+ so what will that be like because ive ridden in boosted car but never driven any ridden from 250hp si coupe to a 400 hp single cam ex coupe and it felt nice riding but how is it driving a car with that much power</TD></TR></TABLE>

You're going to fight the **** out of your torque steer, go a lot faster a lot quicker than what you expect, and have a hard time shifting because your head and shoulders will be pinned against your seat.

I missed 3rd 5 times in a row the first day I drove it, I just had trouble shifting and holding the wheel steady at the same time... a shitty synchro didn't help me out much either though lol.

Have fun, just be safe. I still haven't boosted 4th yet, 90mph comes up REALL fast even in my SOHC.

First turbo car i drove was Holden VL Commodore (aussie car...RB30 nissan engine with factory turbo) which had bald tyres, in the wet. Man that was fun

Next turbo car was an Evo 6.5 Makkinen edition along a section of twisty rally roads. The amount of grip it had was incredible, and NO turbo lag whatsoever.

Following those, funnily enough the next turbo car i drove was my accord. The addiction had set in...

Since then i've also driven a Lancer GSR (think Evo 3, but with a 1.8 turbo instead of the 4G63t and also 4WD). My brother bought that shortly after driving my car, again funnily enough. That has the full evo 3 running gear about to go in

And the next project for me is a turbo lexus V8 car i am planning (holden kingswood, again an aussie car). Nah, boost aint addictive at all...
