Should i try to upgrade it to teh hsk BOV? i am getting rdy to order it today!!

 

the votech bov is ok, i f anything id rather get a greddy type S, im assuming maybe your getting a revhard kit, get the type S it uses same flange where as im 99% sure that hks will need a different flange. someone correct me if im wrong.

 

does the vortec bov have a studder to it or is it more like a wosshh?

 

If you look in the newest Sport Compact Car they do a comparison of various BOV. If I remember the Vortech performed better than both the Greddy type S (by a small margin) and the HKS SS.

Vortech BOV is great! sounds like a nice loud Whooosh. similar to the blitz, a nice rush of air.

i have a vortech. i was going to buy the type S instead, but after hearing the Vortech i quickly junked that plan.
it sounds sweet.
i believe the HKS uses a round flange with a c-clip. i also believe the Greddy flange is the same as Vortech. i'm trying to remember.
the HKS is the one that has the "stutter".
i really like the Type S sound, but the Vortech is sweet too. and it came with the kit (RevHard). i'm totally happy with it. i have no reason to drop $$ on the Type S.
as far as performance goes, my vortech seems to work great.
