My BOV sounds like a bird whistle when I shift, is this the way it's supposed to sound? Can I modify the thing to make the sound a little more discreet?

 

get a Type S BOV, HKS is known to be lourd and bashing...

 

Most bov's sound like "flutters" or otherwise a bird under your hood, my vortech sounds the same.

I heard the Type S has that signature pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but I don't have money to waste on a BOV I don't need , if it works why replace it, besides I need important things like bigger injectors and tuning.

 

I have the super sequential on my car and I think it sounds dope!! And for one thing is sounds diffrent then most BOV's.

 

are u guys talking about the greddy type s? cuz that bov whistles too when u shift.

hks racing bov doesnt make any whistling or high pitched sounds.

 

the HKS SQV bov is *supposed* to make a whistling sound when it does its thing.. that's what has made them unique from the others

i can't believe you bought the BOV without knowing what it sounds like beforehand!!

 

It came with the kit, I got a good deal on a used Fmax kit. It's not so bad I'm going to slash my wrists over it, but it definitely draws attention.

 

My type S make that bird whistle everytyme i shift.

 

the fmax kit doesnt come w/ the hks ssq. it comes w/ an hks, just not the ssq.
