Default How safe is it to be untuned, looking for a good write up.

Ok we all know it is safe to be tuned. Now lets say everyone has a average turbo Honda. Nothing insane or over the top. Now lets say you don't have any fuel tuning, and you choose to run inbetween 6-7 psi with an intercooler.

I want to get a definite answer and a good explanation on how safe it is and whatnot. I see posts about how safe will my setup be yada yada.

So the question is, how safe is it to run a very small amount of boost on a stock Honda.

Thank you,
Eric

Pretty much, maybe a piggyback. But for the most part untuned besides messing with the timing.

Ya I would really doubt it lasting long at all without any fuel management. Why not at least throw an fmu on it. Doesn't cost that much.

It is very safe for cracked ringlands.

Seriously, for the few WOT passes that would be required to relegate the pistons to ashtray duty, the car would be slower than stock. Cramming extra air into the chambers is not what produces more power. It's the aditional fuel that can be burned that makes the power.
