Wow...just...wow.

It depends. Do a leakdown and compression test, make sure your numbers are good (even though you have a thread going right now about how you just popped your motor with a CAI) and then get back to us.

i still have my old d16z6 by the way, but it has 80,120,120,120, and i dont know the milage, it ran good though, i was going to rebuild it with new bearings, low compression pistons and rings, before i put it back in, ause i dont think it would last long the way it is cause in 6 monthes the 80 psi cylinder went from 110 to 80psi

Hahaha.

And yeah, you don't want to go much over 5 or 6 on a FMU. I'd seriously not boost at all before I ran on a FMU. If you're OBD1 (the z6 is) go with Uberdata or Chrome or something free.

Know that fueling and more importantly ignition timing have more impact on heat and stress seen by the motor that how much boost you run. It comes down to tuing. If you have no way to tune, then your best to leave boost alone. If you have full ignition and fuel control, then dive in. Make sure you find a competent tuner.

Ok, wait. You just blew up your b16 by installing an intake incorrectly, now you're asking about a turbo. Just slow down a little here. Maybe you should stick with your F150.

dude why the expletive would you go through all that money to turbo your car, and go half *** on something that small its like 75 buckts to get your ecu chipped and 100 to get somone to tune it on ubderdata, just do that and run 10 lbs safely.

AND I DIDNT INSTALL THE INTAKE WRONG U F&*K, ITS BEEN ON THE CAR FOR YEARS BEFORE I OWNED IT, AND I DONT THINK THERE IS A WAY TO INSTALL ONE WRONG, I DROVE THROUGH A BIG *** PUDDLE, AND HAD NO WAY TO STOP OR GO AROUND IT, AND I WA PLANNIN N HACKIN THE INTAKE FF WHEN I GOT HOME THAT DAY, ANYWAYS, I WAS GOING TO PUT THE TURBO ON WHEN I DID THE MOTOR, I WAS PLANNIN ON ONLY 6 PSI WITH JUST AN FMU AND MAYBE A CHIP LATER, I DONT WANT ANYTHING SPECIAL JUST A LITTLE MORE POWER, THIS IS MY DAILY DRIVER, I DRIVE ABOUT 100 MILES A DAY TOO AND FROM WORK

on a daily driver i wouldn't go with an fmu on a turbo. have it chipped/tuned. its not that expensive.

Don't try to burn me. I'm not the one with a blown motor and asking stupid questions about a turbo. Put the shovel down, the hole is big enough.

a proper dyno tune can tell you how much boost you can do

Werd. ( 10lbs is a little much for me, tho)

If you are spending the money for a rebuild with lower compression pistons:

Why are you using an FMU?
Why are you using a T28 snail?
What compression will you have after you put the new pistons in?
Why are you doing this to a z6?

Might as well sleeve the block, too. You wont see a good return in power running 7lbs of boost with lower compression...
