Default How much power does a .48 hold back?

A t04e with a 57 trim compressor is rated at about 450whp respectively, Im sure this is with a .63 or bigger housing, roughly how much power potential would a .48 hold back? is it usually more than 50whp?

when i was running a t3t4e 57 trim on a 48 turbine, i maxxed out my d series at 310 whp. at 24psi

i was running a log manifold, 2.5in DP and stock cam.
im sure you can make more power with a equal length, 3in DP and a cam, but 100 whp probably wont happen. (and if it did, the price of a 63 turbine is way cheaper)

as i reference once i switched to the 63 turbine, i made 315 @ 15 psi.

i have a 48 turbine if you want it.
you can buy a t3t4e 57 trim with a 63 turbine, and ill send you my 48 turbine.
you can run the 48 and see if you like it, then switch to the 73 when you are ready to make 400whp

also, spool time between the log/2.5/no cam/48 turbine was 24 psi @ ~5200
on my topmount/3in/zex/63 turbine, it is 28 psi at ~6000, but from ~5300 ish you better hand both hands on the wheel, especailly open diff.

Why was your setup maxing out at 310whp at 24 psi, while platinum00's setup was making 424whp @ 28 psi on a D16Y8 with a SC50 (50-trim, .48 a/r)?

thats is something id have to have jeremy (servion) answer.
i know we were using 100 octane, and we were getting alot of contamination, i think that was one of the limiting factors.

ill forward this thread to servion and see if he can put his input in.

Kelly I should make a bit more power than you did, its a built b16, with ctr cams and a Jg intake. I picked the turbo up for $100 bucks locally, I guess I need to slap it on and see what I get, and if I dont like it then I will switch out the housing. I gues I just wanted a ballpark figure. I dont think 400whp is out of the question. we will see.

ahh, on a b16 you can make alot more power.

on my sohc i cant dail in any overlap, and the head flows like ****.

with a good manifold, 3in+ DP, i dont think 400 is out of the question.

for $100 you cant go wrong. hell even if you make "only" 375, that is still mostly unusable on the streets
