Default how much play?

Quick question. I just got a used greddy manifold and turbo in the mail. im wondering, how much movement is supposed to be in the turbine. i can wiggle it a tiny bit. Not very much, but im wondering if there should be any movement at all. thanks

You want about a business cards width of play side to side and you should not be able to detect any end play. hope its good for you. I got a t25 for one of my customers off egay. it had almost 1/8" of end play! the most I have ever seen, luckily the guy seems like he is going to refund me...fingers crossed

greddy being a gernal bearing will have a little bit play....make sure the play is only side to side...not up and down. When I bought my 18g..it had play side to side....however the bearing was dry....put a little oil through the fitting and it should decrease..

Thats a good point. If you pour a little oil into the inlet and then spin the wheels by hand a little you will see the oil go down a bit. Then check for play, like he said it will be a bit less.

I like to keep mine full of oil while I store them. Just to keep and rust from forming or anything seizing or drying out seals...
