Default How much to NOTCH a block?

I got EAGLE rods and i have to notch the D16 block. The machine shop quoted me $150-200. That seems like a lot, is that right?

Following the article by TOO, can I just mark what has to come off and have them do it that way? Prolly cheaper...

do it yourself with a high speed dremel. it's super easy. All you do is put the crank in the block and a piston/rod and rotate until it hits...then dremel away that block material until it no longer hits.

then just clean the block out real good and you're done. I've done it several times on ford stroker kits. super easy.
