How much Nitrious?
Im building a GSR block to take some NOS. I going to have 8.5:1CR pistons or 9.1:1CR pistons. Im going to put a direct port it on the block. With the stock bore or over .5. I want to know how much NOS I can put on the block before it blows?
I have a cable B16 tranny. Should I get a cable LS for longer gears?
Also what head gasket shopuld I use to make the CR go down?

N20 and compression get along quite nicely, dont go that low. If you have the components that can handle the heat load then you can probably run a 100 to 120 shot. Make sure you have a clutchand good ignition system that can handle it also.
just make sure you have enough fuel. i used 9:1 je's with a stock block b16a2, the head was built and a quaife in the b16a2 tranny. i melted a pistion with a 120 shot because it got a little too lean. i like the b16 tranny, i think youll be fine with that one

Well I have a built head, GSR head, with skunk 2 manifold, type r TB, RC 330cc injectors, STR fail rail, JUN valvetrain and also JUN 3 cams.
I want to get it down into the low 12's with the Nitrious. Can it be done?
I still dont know if I should use some JE 10.1 pistons or some JDM ITR pistons.

Spencer's stock B16A (well besides a ITR IN cam) did an 12.6@108 a couple years ago in his EH2... That's nothing too special but okay for his motor with an 80hp dry setup... The LSVTEC blew up last season after running 12.3@112, we resleeved it to 84.50mm with 10.5:1 JE slugs and he's looking at 200-300hp progressive (just needs to find solenoids which will handle it)... Bottom line is I don't think you'll have problems hitting 12's... Read your plugs and don't get greedy, any signs of detonation, etc. pull timing and add fuel... Better to be safe than sorry... Also I absolutely would NOT swap trannies, your B16 will be fine... Same way with boost, I hate long gearing... You have to bring into consideration your power, overall tire diameter, etc... We run B16's and GSR's on 500whp+ FI cars so I'm sure you'll be fine... Just my $0.02

The JDM pistons will melt on a 125 shot. GO forged and coated if you can. That will give you longer life. ANd I agree with the gusy on the B16 trans. It will be a hauler.
Adam....correction...The "all motor" b16 only had a type r intake cam and went 12.6 @108 wit a 80 shot .......The ls/boom went 12.3@112 with a 70 shot before i realized it was a bad idea to squeeze on stock sleeves with a 1mm overbore. I have the progressive system figured out. When the track dries out we shall see.
