how much hp can the stock h22 honda oil pump take?? or will i need High-flow Oil Pump
i have been think about geting a different oil pump gear like a pro drive oil pump gear or something like that and i also was looking in to a High-flow Oil Pump like from kms?? i want to get some feedback on this. thanks

It's not a matter of horsepower as much as harmonics. Of course the more power you make the heavier the harmonics might be. I've seen shattered gears on NA H22s but one was reved to around 9,000 (stock eng.) I did hear that turbo H22s had more of a tendency to shatter the gears but don't know if it is a function of reving or power output. I have the Prodrive setup and make around 465 whp. No problems yet.

But what if he develops some serious horsepower?
Good 1/4 time. 9s look really good. That much power is way over my figures.

Keep it simple, if migrana and others are making 700whp on a stock oil pump you should spend the money elsewhere.

I've been running the OEM's as well on tons of 400-600whp set-ups with no problems as well. We do have our rotating assembly's balanced. For set-ups higher than 600whp I would highly recommend tunning a dampener.
