Default External oil pump questions....

I was talking a good friend of mine today about oil pumps in turbocharged hondas, and he was saying that for anything making 400+whp, I should switch to external wet sump oil pump.
What I would like to know is this. Ive read reviews on the fluidyne harmonic balancer, and it seems like it may be a simple solution to decreasing the chances of shattering an oil pump gear. How many of you high hp streetcar guys are using and external pump, how do you like it? And for those of you who arent, what kind of problems have you ran into, and how did you solve them?
Spending $2000 cad seems like alot of money to me for something like this, and Id like to hear some reviews and opinions before I do so. Cheers.

Stick with a stock pump until you start having problems with it. Fluidyne and Fluidampr are a big help to oil pump life.
