They are so cheap, and somebody suggested it to me. I was wondering if the gains are good with a test pipe. IF the gains are min and only 2-4 hp, then forget it. But if they are around 10 hp or more, for about 50 bucks... ****, can't say no to that!
for $50, 2-4 horsepower is still good! im sure it will give you about that much, if not more. it all depends on how restrictive your exhuast is and how much you boost.
If you have a regular, restrictive as hell, OEM catalytic converter and you replace it with a totally free-flowing, open 3" pipe, expect gains to be as high as 30 hp. I would say it would be more like 15-20, tho...
u can get testpipe here http://www.testpipe.com for $30-35

Woa....in my car, I always had the test pipe, and wondered why I smelled exhaust smell in the cabin. I figured I had an exhaust leak somewhere. So that was due to the test pipe....ahhh.
Why would putting a straight sealed pipe in the system make it smell on the inside?

am i the only person out there who has no irregular exhaust smell emmitting from his testpipe? Maybe the WS has something to do with it, but I've noticed nothing different smell wise since the stock cat was on there.
