Looking at buying a Spearco intercooler off someone with a core model #2-209, 3"x7.12"x18.5". It has a flow rate of 670. How much boost do you think that can handle? I'm only looking at going 7-8psi now, but down the road I might go more and don't really want the IC to be strangling me.

Depends on the turbo you're running. Look at the compressor map and check the flow rate at your anticipated boost level and make sure its under the intercoolers max flow rate.

 

That core should be able to support 400+ hp! You will have no problems with that intercooler running a T3/T04E @ 20 psi!
