Default how much boost can it take ?

hey guys i new to the forced induction end of tuning. i was wanting to kno how much boost a unsleeved JDM h22a block can handle. i am going to run forged pistons and rods with 9:1 compression. i would like to get around 400-450hp without sleeving the block if it is possible.

any help, suggestions, or comments will be appreciated thanks.

every motor reacts different to boost, there are to many factors in play... No one can tell you what amount of boost it will take for you to make XXX amount of whp...... because not everyone is going to have the exact same setup as you...

BULLSHIT, tuning cars is an exact science.

and the answer is......... 24.6 PSI given the following conditions:

outside temp: 70.56 *F
oil temp: 150*F
air to fuel ratio in boost: 11.987
timing at full boost: 9.55* at peak torque which is exactly at 5,445rpm
cabin air temp: 73.6*F
elevation: 567 ft above sea
skin color: white/non hispanic
gear: 4th
turbo: GT35R with compressor shroud
fuel: 93 octane from shell at 8th and oak
wheel: Volk racing 16"
tire: BFG drag radial 225 or higher
***** size: &gt;= 5.9 inches if black &gt;=6.5 inches
IAT: &lt;=105.78*F
AIDS: negative
exhaust: 3" and greater back
CAT: NO
muffler: Kteller Oval 3" (black)
Intercooler: Any Greddy core
Homosexuality: Doesn't matter
Injectors: 750 cc or higher
Tuner: ME or better...wait NM
BOV: Turbo XS RFL or louder
vacuum: 4mm inside diameter
Wastegate: Tial 38mm or 44m
Exhaust manifold: Full race top mount

That's about it.

Please dont start with the MAHLE Gold piston rigamarol either.

YOU MUSTY MUST MUST sleeve the H for use with forged ppistons. FRM sleeves are NOT compatible....
Look up CAMP 1320 for prices. I got my H22 Sleeved with their HD sleeves, decked and shipped back to me for $911.

Then you can run any forged piston you want.

I was thinking the exact same thing

Stock sleeves.....Depending on turbo size 10 PSI is doable... Just stay conservative on timing.. If you rattle it you will bust ringlands, and be screwed.

Ill be running 20 psi low boost (hahaha) and 26 on race gas with my setup.

Good luck</TD></TR></TABLE>

not saying that you guys are wrong or anything, but i am talking about the JDM H22 motor and not the usdm motor. the sleeves are different in the blocks. also the jdm block is a closed deck and the usdm block is open deck. wont this make a difference? why cant hone the cylinder walls and run forged pistons without sleeving?

The same guy who says he hit 136 MPH in 3rd gear with his stock SOHC motor is giving advice on building turbo motors. Yikes.

It doesn't matter. I'm no h-series guy, so forgive me if by some odd chance I'm wrong, but the sleeves are still FRM, and you just cannot do it.
