How much boost can stock headbolts take??
Yes i am well aware of ARP's existence, so don't just tell me to get those. This is a question of meer curiousity. Just curious if there's a boost / hp range that they usually fail at. Thanks

I was able to run about 15psi on stock head studs on F23 for about 1.5k miles then they streached 1/8" across the board . Now using H23 headstuds from ARP.
The car was making around 320 whp

If it's D-series, the head's gonna lift and you'll need a headgasket. Just wait until then to put ARP's on.
Never re-use stock head bolts. Yeah, yeah, their are people who have done it, but why would you go through the trouble of putting on a fresh head-gasket, having your head decked and not buy $100 insurance that you won't have to do it again. That's just the way I look at it. Why spend $50 on a head gasket, if you're not sure if it'll last because your head bolts might be stretched.

Re: (Ibiza)
In our motors for the Pro FWD the H22. We O-Ringed the head. Used stock head bolts and stock head gaskets and have never had a problem. We have boosted over 45+psi on this setup and no problems. Although this may get a little pricey as we replace the bolts everytime the head comes off.
The other thing if you are using studs yes they are re-usable, but make sure after you bolt on the head put the through a few heat cycles and re-torque them. This is important or you will be blowing head gaskets.
