How many of you have sold your boosted car?
I had to sell my turbo neon so that I can afford to be a college student...missing it right now and Its not even gone yet. It sells tonight on ebay and will be gone. Anyone else go though this before? How did you guys make it through? Im uber depressed, but I have no other options but to sell the car.

What the hell kind of college students are some of you that post in this forum??
I just don't know where you all get your money while in school (other than mom/dad, or drugs or something).

Re: How many of you have sold your boosted car? (boostincoupe)
I sold parts that I fabricated....been doing it since my freshman year. I make parts for neons...via why I own a neon.
STi is a friends car...wish it were mine I do all the work on it tho' and I get to race it at the track... all the good parts of it..but none of the downsides like paying for insurance or the car payment(which he owns it)
SRT-4 is my mom's car..."rumor" has it that it may be handed down to me once I get my two BS's in Applied Physics and Mathematics. But I dont count on much because my sister is about to get married...and she wants a "big one."
I wouldnt sell it, but when im at school i dont fab parts. I sold my car to afford my new tig I bought and so that I can put more money into the "business"...in order to make MORE money so I can afford to drive a car while im at school. Ive been rocking the etnies for the past 6 months hitching rides with friends and stealing the STI and SRT-4 as much as possible.

Thats rough man... After this summer i'm seriously thinking about going to school in the Bay Area, and if i go, there is no way my car is gonna last down there without getting jacked. Either that or i can have my car and stay here where there are little oportunities to support the lifestyle i want to attain. So... yeah, i totally feel ya man.

I did all I could in high school... so in college I can enjoy the fruits of my labor.
10psi, on a junkyard kit, in my CRX Si.
I mostly work on people's cars for extra cash. Plus the army is paying for college while I'm in ROTC.

i sold my 11 sec t type because of points, and needed to move out of my moms house. i do not regret it, but i do miss it immensely.
on a side note i had the money in my hand for my boosted eg, and the dude was like i just want the engine imma part out the car, i gave it back to him and told him it wasnt for sale.
here is the turbo t, i do miss her:

I did most of my work while I was in highschool living with my parents. Every dime that's gone into my car has come from my own pockets. And no, I've never sold drugs. Working for $7/hr at a pizza joint for 30 or so hours a week while going to school Mon-Fri doesn't leave much of a life, which in turns allows you to save more money for ****.
Now my parents jumped state and I'm living with my uncle until I can get **** figured out. 10/hr 32 hours a week is only $320 before taxes. Cheapest 1 bedroom down this way is around $700/month. Plus utilities, car insurance, gas, food, ect. I just can't afford to get my own place yet. I pray to god that nothing on the car breaks because I will be fucked.

That's what I'm doing, I'm graduating in six months and I just got a sleeved block (already turbo) I'm going to be sad when I have to sell it.

nevermind i saw the link in your sig. That sucks that you have to sell it. I have scholarships that pay for school, so I take out student loans to pay for my habit. Im hoping to stop after this spring when the turbo kit goes on. I have a feeling its only going to get worse

I've sold 2 cars that I built in the last 2 years. I've missed them both since I've sold them. I especially miss the EG. It's hard but, sometimes it needs to be done. For me it's just the fact that I have vehicle ADD and can't just be happy w/ what I have. I'm always striving for bigger and better things and it works out like 70/30.
The EF. The new owner told me it got T-boned by a big rig
The EG. You are missed The new owner is blowme on here.

Hey listen to my reason on this.
don't feel bad if you have to sell your car!
Your selling it so you can afford schooling right??
You need to get your life straight, thats ur #1 priority.
And the thing is, you can ALWAYS build another!
the knowedge you have /learned from building it isn't going anywhere,
And the buildup is the best part anyways!
You'll have a chance to have more fun building another car later on down the line.
And meanwhile you can get urself a good job, degree, or whatever..

I sold my EK because I wanted to focus on school. I miss it like crazy, the power, the sound of the wastegate opening . I also think I have vehicle ADD because I am already tired of my new car.
My Old CRX I sold to get the EK:
