HOW MANY PEOPLE
I need to know how many people are running without the oil squirters and if they are have they noticed any problems in their pistons..I recently got my block back from the machine shop and was putting it together and noticed oh **** forgot the squirters after already have the piston and rods in. I was able to get them in 2,3,4 all tighten down but number 1 loose as a goose but can thread the oil squirter bolt completely down till it sits flush with the block and tq's to 13lbs like suppose to should i plug the other 3 with the golden eagle plugs and just leave the factory bolt tq or any IDEAS please help cause they dont make a helicoil that small
d-series dont have oil squirters...so lots of people are running without them.
However, my next dohc ZC block i build im going to have them custom installed.

what do you mean its 'loose as a goose' on cylinder one?
I believe that one may be installed incorrectly. like not sitting flush on the block (theres a pin & hole that need to line up to sit properly)
Simple mistake and easily made when trying to bolt them in once the crank / rods are in the way

It squirts oil on the pistons, helping to keep them cool. Which should in turn help with durablity of the pistons and rings, and i would imagine help with detination (correct me if im wrong).
