How loud is open DP?

Im putting my turbo on as soon as I get my manifold from the GB, but I dont have the money to make a 3" exhaust yet so I am going to run open DP for a little bit. on a b18b is it excessively loud? streetable? thanks

Mine was pretty damn loud, but I guess you kinda get used to it after a while.

mine sounded like a school bus or one of those big disel truck. made loud popping sound too!!!!!

my friends run their DSM's open DP all the time, its not as loud as my car was with open dp with JRSC....you could hear it three miles away, my kamakaze header downpipe was too short, so i had to run it that way for a while....

open DP is not that loud...WE ran my buddies turbo civic like that for 2 weeks. Was jsut like having an a loud exhaust on an NA honda. I'm gonna run just the DP with a bullet style muffler

Not that bad but sounds like a bubble machine when at a low idle.

As on DJ0820's freashly ghetto turboed CRX. but his outlet points down because of probe O2 sensor housing.

i think my left ear miiiiiiiiight be ringing right now...

got all the bugs worked out of the ems .... 1st time getting on it tonite...spiked to 9spi...opendownpipe is pretty loud as a few telephone workers i found out in the middle of nowhere doing work can testify to.

its kinda fun, people stare sometimes, sounds like a bus or truck comming. when i was all-motor open header was louder, alot. seems like turbo quiets it down, except for the back fires

it's not loud at all

the fumes out of all is what bothered me the most...

imagine, sitting on a packedd drive thru at taco bell, running really rich and open downpipe heheheheh

I guess some peoples' idea of loud differ from others. IMO it's loud as hell. I barely made it by the 2 days I had to run open DP. SO lucky I didn't get pulled over (which I almost did).
