Default anyone have a side exit downpipe?

I was thinking about doing a 3" side exit downpipe if i do a turbo kit.

if anyone has any pictures/videos/soundclips it would be lovely. I'm just trying to get an idea of what it will look and sound like

loud and shitty. dont do it. just do a cutout, over time it will get so annoying, and you would probibly get pulled over 1 time a week.

got a friend with a 2.5" downpipe sticking out under his car, by the front wheel.

yea its loud. but not so bad i think.

it's an LS with a .48/.42, it really isn't horrible, but i dont recommend it.

unwanted attention... cops, thieves, etc.

For a track car it's fine, but on the streets? Way too loud! No matter if you are turbo or not.

I ran open downpipe for about 10 minutes before I hooked my downpipe into the rest of my exhaust and I was so embarassed.

I felt like one of those fart-can ricers that drive around annoying the **** out of every other driver on the road.

it's not as bad as people make it out to be. it's just like running open dp except you dont have all the smell coming into the drivers compartment. I got mine out the side, and although it isn't really a street car anymore, i dont mind the sound.

that pic sucks, im talking like coming out the bumper, not under it..i think there would be enough room to put a resonator or a small muffler?

Why not just get an electric cutout? Cheesefrog's cutout is set up VERY nicely... but maybe a little too close to the turbo.

My buddy with a SRT had a side exhaust...it can out to be right around the driver side door.

Talk about annoying...we drove to virginia in that thing. I would only do it if it is a track car or you don't drive it very often. As people said it can attract a lot of unwanted attention.

i run an open DP, i had an exhaust but took it off cause i wanted to cut some more weight. i have been open DP for like a year or so, its not too bado n an LS but on a vtec motor like mine, vtec is pretty freakin loud, and yes you smell like gas and exhaust when you get out........ but i only drive that car 3 times a month if that.

12 miles in 2 months is all i drove it, so i dont really see the use for an exhuast

You're telling me you pulled the exhaust off to save weight?
