It only takes me about 15 seconds to burn a map...

By "burn a basemap" you mean just put the map on a chip right?

$83.55 Umm I don't know what you mean by that. If you get a burner (between $50 and $80) then you can do it yourself and tune everything yourslef as well. The total time from taking the chip out of the ECU to burning it and putting it back in and running your car takes about a minute. I'm sure if you send your Chip to someone and a floppy disk with the basemap on it they will burn it for like almsot nothing...hell if you send return postage I'll do it for free cause it's that easy.

Someone is going to charge you $50 to burn a basemap?

Are you sure that's all they are going to do?

**alert alert**

stay away from this shop! They charge $50 for something that costs nothing and only take 15 seconds to do!

hahaha.... did he have a straight face when he told you that price?

Probally so he makes money either way (well that being said if you accepted to pay 50 bucks just to burn a map which is rediculous).

I would find out how much he charges to tune first though, if its anything like the price of his basemap probally be $300,000/hour.

Is your ECU chipped or just a stock ECU? because if your ECU isn't chipped, that might be what the $50 is for, which is fair...

I mailed my ecu to inline pro to get chipped and they charge me like 70 for my basemap, which was the worst map on the face of the planet.

They were like, "uhh..., we'll refund that when you come and get it tunned."

I dont want them to tune my ****. But they already had everything done and my credit card number. Live and learn
