I recently have been reading about the v-afc hack and I am really wanting to do that. I already have the DSM injectors on the way and now I need the AFC but I have not a good enough idea on how to do it to feel comfortable. If you guys have any tips as far as how to program it and install (anysplicing)
Once you get the AFC installed it's really easy just do a search....the install of the AFC itself can be kinda tricky....I would solder all connections (that's what I did) no probs so far (Almost a month) Let me tell you there is NO transition into boost! It is straight POWER all the way up to my boost cut-off at 8psi...my first time boosting was yesterday...it's AWESOME. peace
well i guess you wont be needing that FMU
anywayz ...i'm running the hack too (hence the reason i no longer need the fmu). there is a good write up on the settings on the drops shop's web page thats pretty helpful.

Once you install and wire the injectors, install and wire the AFC, it's extremley easy to set up the AFC-hack. It's just a matter of setting the idle trim, which on most D and B-series Honda's is about -45% w/ 450cc injectors, and then working it slightly richer in the upper end of the rev range.
A couple points I suggest, if this is a B-series VTEC, DO NOT go over 8psi on the AFC hack, 10:1+ CR doesn't like that much boost without VERY precise tuning, the AFC hack is not that precise. And make sure you set it up to run as rich as possible before you set off the CEL. Whatever psi you decide to run at, keep setting the AFC trim lower and lower (I belive I had mine to like -36%) untill you take a full boost pass and the CEL comes on, turn the key off, back on (reseting the code) and put it a couple % higher so you're as rich as possible. And make sure you check your plugs as often as possible!
