atm = absolute pressure, in atmospheres
psi = absolute pressure, in pounds per square inch
bar = absolute pressure, in bars

1 atm =14.695940981101019898304088410781 psi
1 bar = 14.503894295618373533293689355592 psi
1 bar = 0.98692326671601283000 atm
1 psi = 0.068046 atm
1 psi = 0.068947 bar

I may have gone a little overboard. naaahhhhh.

I say F#ck Corky Bell he's an idiot. I looked at the cover of his book and felt dumber. Enough I could go on all day about how he stole all of his material, and cheats everyone out of their money. I hate him with all my

As far as Corky Bell being an idiot, what the hell did he do when he met you, **** in your cheerios? I have not read a book out there that I would call complete. He does have some biased opinions and it sounds like you do as well. I would recommend this book as an introduction for basic turbo system knowledge.

Like I said Corky is an idiot. I'm very aware he wrote a book. I've had the luck of actually meeting him. Believe me he's an idiot. He stole everything in that book from other publications.

Yeah what a dumbass, a masters degree in mechanical enginering from texas A&M (one of the best and most chalenging enginering programs bar NONE). Why dont you talk to us after you graduate high school. I think Maximum Boost is a valuable source of info and will continue to recomend it to my freinds and peers.
grow up

tzsir, If 1 bar is equal to .98 atm, that means it equals 14.5 psi. You just said it yourself in your own post....

where the **** is he ? I am starting to have fun with this...lol

for some reason, he's one of the member of this board that I would really really love to meet and sit down and talk all these theories out...but for some reason, I pictured him and a punk, dorky *** kid in high school or freshman in college, majored in physics or engineering and just happen to wants to show off...

if you look at all his post, he talks theory but never talks solutions...
boosted97 lude was having an idle problem and dimming lights, he suggested to check fues box , fues can either be good or blown, light dimming is a good inidcator or weak alternator, and idle problem is usually vac leak or anything in relation with throttle.

then, somebody have a huge idle problem and surges idles, he suggested to check the O2 sensor for open loop operation on stock ECU. WTF ? he's an idiot

ALL TALKS, NO WALK....

anyone can grab a physics book and talk **** all day, but let me see you open your hood.....

I dont think he want's to argue with anyone unless they are engineers ("where are my fellow engineers to back me up?" he says) and if you are an engineer that does not agree with what he says he says you're wrong.

<--BlueShadow, who might not have an engineering degree but has a lot of common sense
