Default How do they balance rotating components for an engine build?

Got all my bearings in and checked for their clearances. Need to get everything balanced before assembly.

How do they balance the components and which ones do they balance (crank, rods, pistons, crank pulley, fly, pressure plate, etc)?

Hello. The parts that move up, down and rotate are balanced. Pistons and rods are balanced by making them all weigh the same. The rotating parts are balanced by making all sides weigh the same so one side is not heavier than the other.

(crank, rods, pistons, crank pulley, fly, pressure plate, etc)?
Got a quote today. Said to bring everything above and the clutch disc.

$120 for balancing everything.

Does this sound reasonable?

Yes thats very good, actually too good. How much is it costing you to put this motor together?

I figured it was a good price but know nothing about the quality.

I've been doing everything so far so it hasnt cost me anything but parts (and the GE work), but they are starting to add up....

I paid 100 bucks for them to remove 1 gram off the crank. I guess factory ISUZU does a good job balancing
