If you get this done, make sure you have the crank pulley, flywheel and clutch balanced as an assembly too. Without those, balancing is pointless.
I would say go for it. Im trying to remember last time I had built a motor what the going price was............then again that was about 6 years ago, so who knows now.

Yes, it is worth it.

everything: crank, rods, rod bearings, rings, pistons, piston pins, pin locks, crank pulley, flywheel, clutch assembly

Is balancing necessary for a complete rebuild and what exactly does the machinist do when he's balancing your engine?

to check for clearances and tolerances in between internal moving parts...

be sure they know what they're doing...I'd rather pay more but have a peace of mind, than trying to be cheap and get screwed in the end...god knows we all have been there before...

if you get new sleeve, bore 2mm over, rods, pistons, rings, and replace everything else with new stock parts, is it necessary to blance your whole engine or would your engine would not run good?

i have not been able to balance my crack, the addiction is too strong, sometimes I mix it with crank and smack for that extra boost, but you have to have a built bottom end for that. I would highly recommend trying to balance a bean pole in your crack, as thats usually what's easiest. Clench hard and it shouldn't be a problem, good luck

Kenny doesnt get motor work at performance auto supply anymore if thats what you are talking about. There clearances were way off and finally kenny got fed up. He blocks he uses now are from rs motorworks in cali or aebs. The internal parts are all done by tony and kenny themselves.

William told me Kenny trying to low ball on these guys and told them that he can get it done somewhere in cali for a cheaper price. That is what william told me last weekend when we hung out together. I don't care the price I've spend 15g on the crx so far and I'm not going to save money for some poor quality job. Where do you get your stuff done?

Get the entire assembly balanced.... although Honda stuff is pretty well balanced, it's not high speed balanced... You will feel as thought the car is smoother on acceleration and up top. Get pistons, rods, crank, flywheel, Pressure Plate, crank pulley $250 sounds expensive.
