Default how do i prevent boost creeps?

i've been reading and reading lately about boosted setups and it seems a good amount of people had their engines blown up by boost creep...well, how do i avoid such a thing?i am planning on running external wg.Is the design of the manifold critical to creep from happening?thanx in advance.

Yeah, when a wastegate is positioned on a specific runner, it seems to have the most creep, so u want a wastegate outlet close or on the collector of all 4 runners.

so a wastegate positioned in the middle of the collectors would be the ideal place?

Dual wastegates is the way to go for rock solid boost

must be drunk

u only need a dual wastegate setup for a divided manifold

You want your wastegate positioned in a way that it exhaust gases can easily flow out of it. Also, you want to properly size your wastegate with your desired power levels.

Look at BMC's S2000 turbo manifold. That's the "ideal" way to prevent boost creep.

just make sure you have the wastegate positioned on the manifold to "bleed exhaust" from all four runners. another thing i know that makes a difference is run a bigger wastegate (44mm) for low boost applications and run a smaller wastegates (38mm) for high boost applications. the bigger gate would bleed out more exhaust and a smaller gate can control less exhaust from being bled.

cheap spring loaded style MBC's can also cause spikes and creeps

Supposedly, boost creep is the exhaust gasses not being able to make the hard angles to go out the wastegate, so the less of a bend, the less boost creep.

design of manifold matters so does good boost controller and good wastegate.
