how do i fix code 16 - fuel injection system defective...
my friends car is running like crap. it has no power and wont rev past 4000 rpms and when you rev it it sounds like it is MISSING. his setup is b18c1 arias 9:1 comression he is breaking in motor now and is running stock injectors and stock header and exhaust for break in period. when we first started motor he drove it for a couple of days with no problems and then he ran out of gas one day and alos his timing belt was loose enough for him to jump timing.. we fixed both and now car runs like ****. he is throwing code 16 now... we did a compression test and he got. 180 180 180 180.
any help or advice?

sounds 'kinda' like my story.
except i was racing, somehoe my timing belt sliped off and then my car ran like ****.
readjusted my timing to 0,0
still ran like crap. compression was 180 across as well.
i just drove it like that until i went back for a retune and it went away.

Help!!! Its my car!! Well i tought it was the valves and i was kinda happy i wanted to upgrade anyways, but i check compression and i was fine but the car runs like bad I have no power!!! It wont rev past 4000, something else also when i checked the timing it was 180 off on the cams, so we rest and still runs bad.... Someone told me i might have a burnt valve or bent but compression is running good!!!

short circuit in the system. Double check your wiring where you spliced in larger injectors. Undo electrical tape where you spliced in the resistor box (if applicable) and re-solder everything. Make sure to wrap your connections at least a couple of times around using electrical tape.

It sounds like you have numerous problems with the car though.. no offense but if you have already had a jumped timing belt and the timing off 180 degrees you may want to take it to someone with a little more experience before you ruin it all

to my understanding, only a leakdown will tell the conditions of your valves, not compression.

But i took the reistor box out car and i am runnig stock everything whil i breck motor in!!!

like said above.. go back and check all the wires.. if you took out the resistor box then you had to unhook a few wires correct?? maybe they are grounding out or something... pull the ecu fuse as well while your checking the wires to make sure everything is reset correctly

Was the ECU reset after setting the timing? And also was the diagnostics jumper jumped while setting the ignition timing?
