It leaks A LOT of oil out as soon as I prime the oil. Do I need to replace it or can I get a new fitting on there? serious bs that it leaks. It is for my oil pressure gauge

easier to replace it right. but $. so what should I call this a 1/8th line I am not sure where stocks it? the fitting is 1/8 not the line though. I'll need 3ft

Just curious, since that seems to be an oil cooler adapter and has an in and out. Will oil properly bypass it and provide pressure to both things you have connected or only pressure to 1 side of the adapter?

you probably over tightened the compression fitting and crushed the brass or copper ferulle. Happens all the time when we use aeroquip fittings for stuff at work, people work too fast and over tighten and it leaks, so they think they didnt tighen it enough. So they tighten it more and it leaks worse. What happens is they usually go make a new steel braided line and hook it up and not tighten it down so tight.

I made it, it only leaks where I have circled and no where else. I really dont want to be out another 20-30$ for some line if there is a way to fix this. I know what crush fitting you mean and there isnt one. maybe thats the problem? I might have to get one

oil equally goes to those outlets, one to the turbo and one to measure the pressure which I seen was about 60 psi at idle but it was leaking

they should all have the little ferrule or compression ring to go inside the braided line but outside of the teflon tubing.

hmm strange. the build is on hold because of this and the fitting i ordered was aluminum not steel for my oil pan ftl

you see hondas for sale that say 30k invested or more im not going to be one of those people I dont waste a dime I dont need to....its getting crazy and time is running out but im not discouraged yet at all.





SO, the line is damaged right? the end that goes on the oil gauge is not flimsy or loose but I do feel like unscrewing it to see. I know theres no brass crush fitting in either end that I put there.

its not a crush fitting, actually one of the last things you want to do to one of the compression rings is crush it because then it has failed. To put it this way some of our cooling hoses have more than 100psi of water constantly running through them and we usually only turn it 3 to 4 flats then turn the water back on to see if it leaks. Our -24 hydraulic fittings than run up to 1800psi of hydraulic fluid dont get tightened down more than 5 or 6 flats.

hey its not the hose, I took a good look. these hoses needed to be tightened down on those flared like an lines, like the ones we buy for our turbo feed. this is just a home hardware brass fitting.

so at the gauge it goes on snug and the fitting is tight not loose. at the oil filter its still loose and not sealing. SO if I cant get it to seal It would need something in there to fill the gap like a small washer...but I dont want to hack **** or monkey around.

the line is fine. the fitting is causing the issue ic. which is a damn shame

you need to understand the concept of the line, the line is fine its not enough thread on the brass fitting. so for now its got a small peice of pipe in there and threads on tight. just to get the car to run for now in the garage.

plan is to get a 3/8 fitting the the turbo line and put the 1/8 90* into it. something better then it is now.

fram for years here never a problem 5$

you should have just plumbed this with a 3an line from the get go. they make pre done lengths, then use a 3an to 1/8th npt adapter for the gauge. liquid teflon on the 1/8th non compression fittings and run the tapered an lines dry. if it's just oil pressure you really don't need a lot of flow, just a good line source
