Default Is This How Deep It's Supposed to Be?? PLEASE help, im stuck!!

i know i got all the right parts, unless earl's packaged it in the wrong box. i know the threading is supposed to go all the way down, but im putting all my weigh on it and having the flange on a vice, but IT WONT BUDGE. like, its stuck, it wont go in or out anymore. do you think its safe that i leave it like this?

all you guys w/ earls fittings, is it an easy slip-on? its pissing me off!!!!!

its the fitting you screw onto the drain flange on the turbo, but yes, its the return line assembly.

what im confused about is that isnt it supposed to go all the way???

the fitting on the flange is a pipet fitting. the thing that you are trying to screw in should have a tapered thread which will help it to seal when you screw it in. all pipet fittings are like that. if you are putting all your weight on it, then it should be tight enought. no, it's not suppose to go all the way in.

it wont come off? looks like you may have torqued it too much, but anyhow i ran and got mine, i have earl's fittings w/ a cnc maxrev flange.

i hand tightned it and it has about 4-5 threads left on both sides like yours, try sticking it in the freezer for a little while if you want to TRY to unstick them, get the metal to shrink a lil. dont know if that will work but it might, then when you put em back together use a little teflon paste for peace of mind.

if they dont pry apart try putting some teflon paste on the outside but i doubt it will leak.....

thanks a lot guys. i was stressin over it.

look at the pic where it shows it from the top of the flange. if you follow the path of the oil being drained, wouldnt it be able to get through the sides and "follow" the threading and eventually leak out? ive tightened this with all my power. should i put it on a vice and a huge wrench, or am i good to go?
