Default How can I convert a T3 A/R .48 to handle more power?

I just picked up a T3 A/R .48 in really good condition for only $80. After looking at the max output potential of 275hp, I'd rather rebuild the turbo with a bigger compressor housing before installing it..

How can I achieve this? I've found a write-up on here about rebuilding the turbo but nothing explaining how to upgrade the compressor side. Any help would be greatly appreciated

are you sure it can only handle that much? seems a little low for a t3 turbo. even stock dsm turbos can make that much power

with the addition of the T4 compressor housing and wheel, you'd have a good turbo for very little money

I am thinking about picking up one of the China turbos and pulling it apart, putting the compressor wheel and compressor housing on a known good Garrett center section and T3 wheel. Throw a rebuilt kit in it and have it balanced. Then I can decide if I want something as big as a TO4E 57 for the street,
