how about this for an idea
i own a 99 si and have been battling the turbo or supercharger war. either way i would like to make 300 hp safely on only forged rods and pistons. i plan on running hondata s300 for em. for the super charger- would it be a bad idea to run a jackson racing supercharger at the 6-8 psi, but add pistons with the cp ratio of the ctr or leave the stock b16a2 cp @ 10.5-1. i was wondering if high compression and low boost is better than low compression and high boost-was trying to get away from having to sleeve the block and read that cylinders dont start to move around until about 15 psi. I have tons of questions on this topic but this would be a good place to start. thanks guys!

Re: how about this for an idea (doood)
the engine has just under 29,000 original miles and the comperession check comes out at 190 across the board, pedal fully pressed-turned over 5 times. i have heard that if i add any thing to the rotating mass, (crank-rods-pistons) other than stock, it will need to be rebalanced, is this ture? the turbo i was thing about was a precision sc-61 or sc-34. what do you guys think. ive been searching for ever and am trying to figure most things out before i go shopping. all said and done, what is a reasable time i can look at for the dyno and tune, so i can budget some money. thanks in advance!
