Default hondata's 2 step

does hondata's 2 step option let you build boost. or is it just a secondard rev limiter

I'm not sure as we've never worked with the Hondata 2-step but I'm pretty sure it's just a fuel cut. Personally I would just run an 2-step capable MSD box. Correct me if I am wrong.

it should..if your giving it full load at say 5000 rpm and your turbo isnt to big, it should build some boost

It really depends on if you have an aftermarket ignition right now and if so which model it is. If you have the MSD 6AL, 6 HVC, etc. it's possible to expand them with an MSD Soft Touch box and 2-step module. We've done this in the past and they work just fine, everything just gets cluttered as you have a whole pile of electronics. If you don't have an aftermarket ignition at this time and you're looking to buy one I would recommend the MSD Digi 6 as it's got a built in 2-step (all dial controlled, instead of pills), etc. It has slightly less output than the MSD HVC ignition but we've run it up to around 600whp with no problems. As for building boost, you don't neseccarily want a fuel cut. Works best under rich, retarded conditions. Hope this helps

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these one in the same? a lower rev limiter is all you need, you will build boost.

What are we checking exactly? A two-step rev limiter, stutter box, launch controller, all different names for the same thing....If it lowers your rev limiter, that's ALL YOU NEED, IT WILL BUILD BOOST!

either or . your gonna be on the gas to the floor so throttle position will be 100% , yes it is a lower revlimiter. So with the throttle being open asd much as it is , you will build boost.
