I have a 94 gs-r with hondata stage 4b. Car is stock with alu. flywheel, exedy clutch, dsm 450 inj., rs akimoto intake, ssr comp. wheels on nitto 555r's.

Car is running great, except i am getting timing spikes at idle. my logs show timing will go from 16.5 drg. to 50 or to 0. No reason for this. the car is completely warm and i am using the boosted gs-r map w/ 440 inj. The map works well (i am not using the boost tables yet), but i look at my logs and everytime the car is idling at a light i get a miss. the log shows the timing is jumping either up to 50deg. or down to 0deg.

any Ideas.

BTW- i just got beat by my friends 97 gs-r that is completely stock!!!! sad day
either his car is a factory freak or mine has slowed from its original stock form????

 

What is the serial number of the unit. Early units were more susceptable to electrical noise corrupting the datalogging. We have since updated the some of the software to reduce these data spikes.

dlpayboy-I know what you mean. I have raced another gs-r and walked him pretty good so it must be my frineds factory beast. its ok i have some big (turbo) going in next week. should hand him his ***.
