I doubt you're going to find a bug. More likely a tune problem on the fuel map. We've done a couple dozen installs/tunes (using Horiba wide band O2) without a single similar issue. Does it occure immediately after a reset of the ecu?...if the rest of the map is out to lunch might the trim be causing it, Doug?

HX Man...I'm in Brewtown. I have a 5G w/ B16 and FMAX kit. I'm looking to get Hondata and I wanted to talk to you. Could you hit me up with an email. hybridpsi@wi.rr.com.

A possible cause for the problem could be that the part throttle fuel maps are way out. In closed loop the ECU could be trimming (or adding fuel) to compensate. In open loop this does not happen which is why the problem seems to be less common in open loop.

If you are datalogging, looking at the short term and long adjustment while in closed loop tells you how much the ECU is adjusting the fuel - which is why we need datalogs.

Full throttle tuning is great, but part throttle tuning is essential and that can be done best with a wideband on the street.

I'm thinking that this could have something to do with what point your ecu switches over from closed loop to open. All of you with stage4 should open up romeditor and find out what level of vacuum the ecu switches to open-loop.

Even with the base map that came with my hondata, i have never experienced this problem

Ok, I just installed my 3B. Im having the same issue I think. Seems to be right around 3500 RPM though. If I am driving and let off the gas the slightest bit then give it a little gas again it seems to have a little hickup. WTF??
It'll do it around 2500 sometimes too? Hopefully when I have it dyno'd it will get rid of this problem.

before i read this thread, i did not really notice anything during highway cruising or normal city driving but now, i 'think' there is a SLIGHT studder under 4k rpm

doesn't feel as pronounced as the way some of you describe it but again, i 'think' there is a very very very slight studder, almost impossible to notice unless i told you about it.

not really bothersome and sometimes i don't even notice it unless i'm trying to.

interesting here, i run a 2b setup on my 93 si hatch/turbo gsr,, 550cc injectors, msd 6al,,,,, the funny thing here is that when i put a msd in my **** i got the hiccup at around 79-80 mph and around 3500 rpm's Boosted-hybrid tuned me up and he could not figure out that blip,, when i ran the stock honda distributor,, it went away, i believe it has something to do with the msd if you guys are running that,,,,,, i dont know let me know about that,,,,,,
