I'm looking at buying a turbo LS EG and I have a few questions on the Hondata S300 system.

The deal is that the LS motor has some miles on it and is currently being run with an unknown FMU? My plan is to buy an S300 system as soon as I get the car and give it a decent tune so the car is reliable. I am not looking to make the most power out of the car right now, just to get it to be reliable so I don't have to worry about it blowing up. Within a few weeks or a month I will be buying a B16 swap to replace the LS. My question is can I buy an S300 to tune the LS motor for now, then use the same computer on the B16 when I get it? Is the S300 for the B-series that much like the Kpro where you can adjust the settings enough to run different motors like this (vtec vs non-vtec)?

Or will I have to buy an LS or B16 programmed S300?

You can use Hondata for both the B16 and LS.

ya it can tune either motor but you cant use the ls ecu on a b16 (i dont think)

but you can have the same s300 put in the b16 ecu .

i think thats what he was asking

alright so the B16 ECU with the S300 will work for both motors?

Correct, simply disable vtec in the s300 maping etc.
