Hondata S300
Anybody else seen this yet? $595 with all features and software. Looks like Hondata is stepping it up.

What do you all think of this? I'm tempted to pick one up because of the USB compatibility (AEM still runs on a shitty serial port and the laptop I have the has a serial port blows).

Word to that. We get the same shifting weather crap here too.
What're you running for an IAT sensor?

This is why I am selling my S200 setup.
I paid 1200 for everything just a year ago, and now I can't even sell it for 350...
I really wish it was just upgradeable from the current plateforms.

I will buy for $350
I am going to wait and see how the S300 does until I decide to sell my S200 - But we will see, it is doing a fine job for now

Yeah, it allows you to set a fuel trim based on the air temperature.

I think the big advantage over Neptune would be that you can tune Hondata yourself. If I lived down the street from Tony1, st00pid or Boosted Hybrid, it'd be Neptune all the way.

if you had read the other s300 thread, you would know that neptune will be user tunable in the future.

The ~slick part about the s300 is the new hardware.
No chip burner
No serial ports
No emulator for live tuning
Best of all NO CHIPS.
$595 all inclusive is competitive
I realize Neptune may have better software features (than s200), but is still
a ~chip based system.
Do the Neptune guys have any EE's on staff to design hardware?
Things could be ~interesting if s300 hits the street before
Neptune deals to the ~public.
