HONDATA s200 or Stage2/3/4; obd0 or obd1?
I dont know a whole lot about ECU and management systems. I have a obd0 b16 and the only management system they offer from hondata is stage2/3/4. If I kept my obd0 ecu I would want the stage 3 kit(shift light, VTEC control, three stage rev limiter for drag launch, full throttle shift.) and thats only $475.
If I switched over to a obd1, Id have to trade/sell my obd0 ecu; buy a jumper to convert the wiring harness over (what about 70-90 bucks?) and then buy the hondata s200 basic system w/boot option, and launch control; which wraps my cost up to about $700
Now is it worth my time/money to do all this running around, and pay an extra 200 for a obd1 ecu setup? Or is obd0 just fine as well?
I thought obd0 was easier to tune rather then obd1 and obd2?
thanks for your help

im had the same delima, but overall the s200 is a better system, less bugs and easier to tune.
to convert to obd1 you will need:
obd1 ecu
obd1 DOHC VTEC distributor
4 wire O2 sensor
obd0-obd1 conversion harness
its just up to you if its worth it or not to spend the extra money

they don't offer the stage 4 kit anymore, so all you are able to get is up to the hondata 3. I don't believe you are able to tune the stage 3, unless you have the stage 4, so you have to go to a dealer or someone who owns a stage 4 to tune it.

Save up a little more for Zdyne. http://www.zdyne.com
If you can tune Stage3 alone, without stage 4 go for it. So many people used it before the new series came out, and it worked. Just my .02..

thanks guys! I figured if it was an old system and they still made it it must be a good system to use

that seems like this would be a good system for my jdm b16...i wonder what the pries are...

I would buy a s200 because the stage 2,3,4 has problems idling when the coolant temp. is under 175 degrees. With the s200, you can adjust cold engine mixture.
