Default Hondata s200 datalogging problems!!

I have a dell lappy, hooked up to a P72 s200 box with boost and datalogging ect ect. Im having a problem with connection to datalog. Ive checked all the minor things like serial to usb adapter (Ive tryed 2 different ones Belkin and Keyspan). Ive gone through all the fricken coms to make sure it was on the correct one. When i hit f10 to connect, all it does is say connecting or itll say connect, then switch to error connecting. The Customer service/Tech at Hondata sucks. Ive tryed searching for this problem everywhere and cant seem to find an answer. Any help would be appreciated guys. Stupid techs all they tell you is go to their website!!!

I have found that you cannot use the adapters at all, it must be a serial connection to make it consistant. I had the same problem. When I changed to a cheaper laptop that had the serial port, and connected to COMM4, problem solved.

Try making the datalogging using NOT using the serial adapter as stated with your current laptop. Make sure the ports are setup correctly. Most of the time, this is the issue.

In Hondalogger click on the ECU button and make sure you have it set to OBD1 V3.0
