hondata s200?
I know ive never posted on here before but i do visit and soak up all the info posted on here daily. I was just wandering what u guys think of the hondata s200,
because im nearing the end of my boosting project and i just want to make sure im using the right ems. Im gonna eventually upgrade to an aem but im currently lacking the funds, all positive input is highly appreciated.

If you plan to upgrade later to AEM, no point in spending the coin on Hondata now. Just chip your ECU and run a freeware program like Crome. I have been using it for quite a while and have 0 complaints with it. It will run your car just like it was stock until you have the cash together to do AEM.
i bet once u get hondata you wont get an aem, just my opinon. i know aem has a lot more stuff, but im very happy with my hondata. i know the s200 has some more options over the s100, but i got a s100 and saved some money since i have 2 step and n20 control on my msd. not sure what else the s200 has thats extra...now i havent done my research on the s300 yet, but i hear its really good...my suggestion go with s100 and call it a day...
if u get hondata get an s300.
Really its all the same crap, hondata/chrome/neptune/uberdata. AEM is a completely different level though, why do you want aem so bad? are you planning on big power so u need the extra features it offers
and good luck finding a tuner for aem....

I was running a AEM on my car... It was too much complicated for my need and its not that easy to play with if your not experienced with the system. Also... there is not that much tuner that really know this system. My car was a bitch to start and the idle was not that good.
I bought a S200 and a P28 to get a simplier system but someone I know, who have the Crome system and tune Crome, have almost the same setup than me told me why I was not using Crome.
So I let him install his chip last week and my car never have been so nice ; drive better, start better, idle better etc. We just need to do the fine tuning now.
The only reason to use AEM is if you really need the options that other systems dont have. But in my opinion Crome will do the job in 99% of the case.
Do not the same mistake I did... get something simple and easy. I also like to be able to get code just like a stock ECU do.

Hondata s100/s200 is a waste of money unless your going to use a specific feature it provides. Look into crome/uberdata/hondata's features then make your selection.

Based on that I would say stick with the s200. I have the s200, stock sleeves, no blockgaurd and im making 305whp easy as pie. I would be making more but my turbo is dinky lol.
If your only looking to upgrade the ems cause u think hondata wont support your power goals then your just a lil misinformed hondata will do you plenty good to like 400-500whp and maybe even beyond.
now go spend that $$ on a sweetass manifold lol
