Default HONDATA or rebuild

sup guys, im gonna have about 1500 bucks in a little under a month. I was just trying to gather some opinions of whether i should get hondata or rebuild my motor. I absolutley need a clutch, timing belt and headgasket. Soooo when im installing these, i could just go on ahead and rebuild. I dunno, btw when those hondata responses start coming-could you enlighten me on the xtras you have with the hondata, like the MAP sensor, of course the injectors. I mean how hard is hondata to run. If i get it, i plan on the 4b-but then what. I need a baseline and then what. The website is ok, but does not answer alot of my ?s. I need a boost controller right? I just send off my ecu, and it comes with a baseline, or do i need to send it to someone else (sgT)..BTW how hard is it to tune? I dont know any tuners in ATL-none on the website.
oh btw, i have a del sol with b16a3 + drag III turbo
thanks guys

i would replace your internals before you go hondata.
more boost=good.
(i just looked at hondata site, are the prices dropping? i thought it was closer to 2k for the 4b w/datalogger and windows setup.

I would second that.
You say that you need a timing belt head gasket and clutch. None of these require the engine to be pulled or even the oil pan to be pulled for that matter.
Go hondata. You'll be happy you did. You can safely boost (tuned of course), and when it does come time to rebuild, you will already have excellent engine management so that 600-1200 dollars can be spend on much more needed items when building your motor for boost.
What needs to be done now shouldnt cost more than $800 max if your doing it yourself.
You should be ok with the basemap you will receive with the hondata. But it is highly advised that you have it dyno-tunned for maximum run quality. You wont need a GM map unless you plan on boosting more than 11 psi.

GO HONDATA, YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!

You also need to ask yourself what your prospects are as far as hp and torque. If you are looking for 275+ hp then build it. If you want right around there--people have more hp but this is a round about figure- then dont build, spend the money on tuning. If you want 325+ hp then you will want to build the motor.

i dont really understand the hondata 4b..If i get the 4b, then i have to buy the software too??What about the 3bar map? Once i get my ECU back from hondata-the baseline is for MY MODS-or is it just the same basemap? I went to the website, but some of the **** is vague.

Tell us what you think is vague and we will make it less vague.

The short of it is. If you own a laptop, have access to a dyno and wide band lambda meter and want to learn an engine management system by tuning your own car, get a stage 4 system and programmer.

Otherwise get a stage 2 and have someone else tune it for you, and maybe upgrade later. Hondata does not tune it for you.

ok-I have access to a wide ban o2, and a dyno-and my car is turboed. What do i need to buy from hondata, and what will it do. If i buy stage 4b, then do i have to buy the software too? What about the 3bar map? Where do i get the baseline from? The website is sorta vague...I am not quite sold on it yet.

The 3 bar sensors and cables are a $90-95 option. Stage 4 includes the software, but you will need a chip programmer as well. Once you have this setup however you can tune stage 2 ($345) and 3 for others.

We have a large number of baselines that you can get through your closest Hondata dealer
